THE TEAM BEHIND THE TEAM
Hi my name is Miss Tabitha and I am the proud Owner of Dance Clinic. I started DC in 2014 at the age of 25, knowing that this career path was part of my life's purpose. With passion, commitment, and drive I have built a business with strong morals making it a safe, & positive environment for children to flourish and grow as individuals. Dance molds children to be strong, independent, & confident. They gain life skills like memory training, time management, sportsmanship and so much more. I was awarded South Coast Emerging Leader in 2018 and Faces of New Bedford in 2019. I am a strong female activist and I empower all young women to become strong leaders and to find their passion. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls named Declynn, who is 4 years old, and Darlah who is only a few months old. You will find me in the classroom teaching your child and behind the scenes running the business. With 30 years of dance experience in all styles, and levels of dance, I promise to provide the highest quality of training and a fun memorable experience for you and your family. Thank you for choosing DC and allowing us to be a part of your life.
Hey there! I'm Miss Shana and I'm always here behind the desk at Dance Clinic. I absolutely adore what I do, especially getting to meet new families and children every dance season and watching them grow into young adults. My love for dance began at age 2, and I spent my childhood dancing at I've Got Rhythm Dance Studio in Dartmouth. Dance Clinic is like my second home and family to me. I have an amazing eight-year-old daughter named Leylah, and she loves to lend a hand. I wholeheartedly believe that dance can change lives and help shape you into a better person. I'm here to offer my help and guidance on your child's dance journey. Can't wait to meet your family!
Hi, my name is Miss Taylor and this is my fourth year teaching at Dance Clinic! I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I have competed all along the East Coast most of my childhood and was on two college dance teams. I have had an extreme love for dance my entire life. Dance has always been my passion. I knew from a young age that I wanted to teach so I began assistant teaching at age 14! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University and work in Finance during the day. I teach a variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, acrobats, contemporary, hip-hop, and lyrical as well as technique classes. I am an Acrobatic Arts certified teacher so you will find me teaching your advanced acrobat classes here at Dance Clinic! I have received many awards for my choreography, creativity and unique style. I was awarded Best Young Choreographer at Spirit of Dance Awards in 2022. I have been awarded the Outstanding Choreography Award at Sheer Elite Dance Competition in 2022, 2023 and 2024! I was also awarded the Choreography award for DECA Dance Competition this past season. I have won numerous awards including overall high scores, special awards and both regional and national title wins! I believe in creating artistry in each dance and finding a purpose to help dancers move their audience. I am also a judge and adjudicator for a competition called Dance to Inspire! I get the opportunity to not only judge but also teach master classes and conventions around New England and provide feedback for competition numbers and dancers. Dance teaches discipline, time management, dedication, social skills, the importance of individuality, responsibility, and many life lessons but is also a positive outlet of self expression for all ages. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach your dedicated and hardworking children. I can’t wait to see you in class!
Hi, my name is Miss Melissa and this is my third year teaching at Dance Clinic! I started dancing at the age of 3 at Jan Estrella’s School of Dance where I learned so many different styles of dance. My favorite styles of dance are hip hop and jazz. I graduated from Framingham State University while dancing and choreographing on the college team for four years. I am a 4th grade teacher in Dartmouth and I love teaching my students. I have had the privilege to combine my love for teaching and dance into one. Dance develops creativity and confidence and those are the two things I implement in my class each day. I have loved being apart of the Dance Clinic family and enjoy sharing my love for dance with you all.
Destiny Joy began dancing in 2005 at the age of 6. She trained as a competitive dancer throughout childhood and High School training in all styles. Destiny began assisting in the classroom at the age of 11 as a student teacher, quickly becoming an Assistant Teacher and by age 14 was assisting and setting choreography. In their High School career they received numerous Choreography awards, Judges awards and Highest Scores at competitions regionally and nationally as both the performer and choreographer. After High School, Destiny attended Dean College in Franklin, MA to study for a BA in Dance with a Performance and Choreography track. While attending Destiny performed and had her choreography showcased in multiple Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance performances as well as Student run performances. Her favorite experience was being involved with Project Green, a club organized to fight the stigma against mental health with a yearly performance raising awareness through all art forms. Destiny has continued in her teaching, choreography and performance careers. Most recently they trained and performed professionally with Urbanity Underground in Boston. While they continue to teach in all styles, they enjoy training dancers in Contemporary and Jazz the most. They have been awarded Awards such as Best Choreography, Most Entertaining, Starbounds Golden Ticket, IDAs Making the Impact, Judges Choice, Highest Overall and more. In the classroom, Destiny emphasizes the importance of education around body awareness, anatomy, dance history and mental health hoping one day to also work in that field. Destiny believes in the importance of the process over the product, and strives to cultivate an environment which allows all her students to feel seen and tap into their own artistry. Her hope for all her students is to take their teachings and lessons learned through dance and apply them in all areas of life.
Hi, my name is Miss. Madison. I have danced at Dance Clinic since I was 8 years old. I have always had a passion for dance and truly believe it has helped me in so many aspects of life. Dance has allowed me to see the world in so many different perspectives. I started assisting dance classes at 13 years old and began leading classes at 16 years old. This will be my third year leading the toddler & preschool classes at Dance Clinic! I love working with the younger generation of kids. Nothing makes me happier than guiding them through life at such an important age! I just completed my senior year of dance but I will still be around at Dance Clinic just as much as I was before, if not more! I graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School studying Legal & Protective Services as well the EMT program. I have taken & passed the first part of the NREMT exam & am now moving on to the second & final part in order to become a licensed EMT in the state of Massachusetts. I have a firm belief that dance has helped me achieve all of these accomplishments outside of dance. I have learned independence, perseverance, respect & commitment due to dance. I will forever carry these tools with me throughout life. I am so thankful and excited to have this opportunity to get to know all of you! I cannot wait to be apart of Season 11 with all of you and I cannot wait to see what this new season has to offer!
Hi everyone I am Miss Chasity! I am currently 17 years old and I am a Senior in high school. This will be my 10th year competing on Dance Clinic's Company Team and I have been dancing at Dance Clinic since the first day the doors opened. I was awarded Dancin' in the Streets Regional Teen Title Winner 2023, DECA Dance Regional Senior Title Winner in 2024, DECA Dance National Senior Title Winner in 2024, Sheer Elite's Senior Vickie Sheer Award for 2025 and many scholarships and overalls. I have had the opportunity to continue my dance training the last two summers with my scholarship to the dance workshop: Move the Initiative. I compete year round and attend conventions multiple times a year to continue finding new styles of dance to explore. Dance has taught me so many helpful life lessons including resilience, how to work with others and how to also work on my own. I train in all styles of dance about 5 days a week, but my favorite styles are Tap, Contemporary and Acro. I am eager to learn more every day, I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else. Dance Clinic has made such a huge impact on my life. I continue to show my passion and dedication by being a great role model to my studio as a dancer and teacher. I have been training to teach for the past 4 seasons and am so excited to teach my own classes this year! I love sharing my love for dance with my students and cannot wait to see you in class!
Madison Sylvia's life-long love of dance began when she first started her dance training at her grandmother’s dance studio, Jan Estrella’s School of Dance. As a high school senior, Madison began teaching at Dance Clinic, where for 7 years she worked with our Toddler and Preschool dancers, recreational dancers, and company team. In the years since she began her dance teaching career, she has attended a number of dance education classes and dance teacher retreats. Miss Madison S has her Bachelor's Degree of Communications from Bridgewater State University, and is currently working towards her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education at American International College. She is a second grade teacher at Alma Del Mar in New Bedford, and she loves to work in our community. Miss Madison S is so excited to be back with her Dance Clinic family and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and love of dance with the next generation of dancers!
Hi my name is Mr. Marcus! I started my dance journey at the age of 9 at The Dancer’s Edge. I danced my way through middle school and all through out high school. And once I graduated I went on to choreographing for Miss Mallory’s Get Up & Dance for two years. My top 3 favorite styles are contemporary, jazz & hiphop. During the day I’m a preschool teacher at Northstar learning center. I have over 10 years experience working with children of all ages. I look forward to joining the Dance Clinic family. And I can’t wait to share my passion to dance with you all.
Hey there, I'm Mr. Evan, a 15-year-old sophomore enrolled in the HVAC/R program at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech. For the past 8 years, I've danced recreationally and on the competitive team. My passion spans across various styles, but I find myself particularly drawn to tap, hip hop, and contemporary. Beyond the studio, you'll often find me on my bike or hanging out with friends. Dance isn't just a hobby for me, it's been an integral part of my personal growth and development as a student and as an individual. It's shaped who I am today, teaching me valuable life lessons. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities I've been given and excited to see what this new season will bring!
Hi everyone! My name is Fabricia and I first started off as a gymnast at the age of 5 but had left then started my journey as a Dance Clinic dancer at the age of 10 and completely fell in love with it and I am also currently apart of their competition team. I just currently got accepted into Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School! Choosing to become a dancer was definitely the best decision because not only did it let me explore my passion and love for dance that continues to grow and it has shaped me into the person that I have became today. It has taught how to be confident in myself and has taught me to always push myself when things get difficult and see the world in so many different ways. Some of my favorite styles of dance are lyrical, contemporary and acro. Last summer I was able to do summer training with my scholarship to the workshop Move The Initiative and it helped me branch out and explore so many different ways to move and styles I had never tried before such as ballroom and modern. With that being said I am so excited that I get the opportunity to be an assistant teacher this year and share my love for dance with you all and I can not wait to see what this new season has to offer!!
